Welcome Baby Bradley!

So, I'm not very good at keeping a blog updated, I admit. If you didn't know, I was pregnant and we just added our 2nd child on September 6th. Bradley Andrew Reinhardt was born at 3:21p.m. and weighed 9 pounds and was 21 inches long. Big sister Jaci loves him dearly! Its fun to see her mother him so much. He's doomed to never outgrow that I'm afraid. He has been a good baby so far, sleeping pretty well, and eating like a champ! That seems to be his favorite thing to do these days:)
I have 4 more weeks of maternity leave before heading back to a crazy school year. We'll see if I get any more posts up before then!

Christmas in Alaska

We are in Alaska for the few days surrounding Christmas. This trip is for a few reasons, one being that Jaci is not yet two, so she flew free. Another reason was for something to look forward to after the miscarriage we experienced in October. Also, we love our friends here, as they have become like family. We love the snow, the short days, the Alaskan culture, Kaladi coffee, tea parties, and spending time with friends. When we got to camp (where we are staying), my body experienced a sense of relaxation, similar to when one has come home finally after a long journey. I have loved Alaska since I came here for the second time over a decade ago. I love it for so many reasons. It's been a place where I have experienced God, and where I have grown closer to him. It has been a place where I have met so many wonderful people, who have been woven into my heart strings as my family. I know this trip is short compared to our other trips, but I am soaking up every ounce of what is offered here, my second home.

Construction complete!

Before: mud room/garage

After: family room!

We bought a little fireplace that keeps it toasty warm:)
So, after a couple months of hard work, our new family room is done! Our home feels a lot more spacious, and it is wonderful having a room with carpet:)

Camp Attitude

We have been down at Camp Attitude for a leadership planning weekend. It has been super busy, but also very needed, and I feel like we have made some good progress on some important camp issues. It has been nice to spend time in a more relaxed setting with camp friends who we normally don't get to spend time with. Camp is always so busy that we don't get that type of setting. Its also been cool for Jaci to get to be around a bunch of kids. Makes me excited to go to Alaska and spend time with all the kids up there!!

Also, we have finished our construction project, I will post pictures hopefully tomorrow when we get home.

Halloween fun

It was the cutest thing when we put Jaci's costume on for the first time. We were standing in front of a mirror, and I asked her 'what's that?' and she said "cow! Moo!" She was so much fun to dress up, and she totally picked up on the concept of taking candy and putting it in a basket that was all her very own. Grandma Sally's trunk at the church's Trunk or Treat was the best one- she had chocolate, and all you had to do to get some was give her a hug. Gotta love grandmas!
